Super No Vacancy

S02E01: Milliontown

The not-so-triumphant return.

Super No Vacancy has gotten renewed for season 2, and we’re off and running!

Djm has moved out of his parent’s basement into his…ahem other parent’s basement. “Thanks for waiting, everybody” says the Deej.

This week, the un-dynamic duo covers the week in wrestling just as always, but not before our new segment “Whatcha Watchin?” Ness catches Djm up on what he missed while moving, and later on causes Deej to collapse and nearly have a heart attack. Seriously.

Later in the show, Djm goes to see TNA in jail after having the cops take him away after his last straw with the Djm/TNA abusive relationship, and it turns out that Impact wasn’t so bad this time around.

For Otaku Time, Ness and Djm both have anime recommendations….and Djm is uber-fangirl-squealy over the news of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1.

The Wrestling Podcast for The Wrestling Nerd Lives On!

NOTE FROM DJM: I was going to put a link to Ness’ recommendation for MrCena456 on YouTube, but it appears as though he was banned once again. DAMN EVIL EMPIRE!

S01E13: The Season 1 Finale, Out with...a bang? No, a rant.

Well, we did it. The first season of The Little Podcast That Could is in the books.

Djm here, and on behalf of Ness, I’d like to thank you, our 3 loyal listeners for sticking with us. For those of you that took a look at the forums at WrestlingAcademy.net, I’d like to thank you, too.

On this episode, Ness and I talk about the aftermath of the Monday Night….thing, which starts making me depressed, as I don’t want to see the Evil Empire roll over yet another wrestling organization and leaving us in an even longer dark age.

We try and move on from it, but we keep ending up back, before Ness informs me of something that causes me to totally blow up Joey Styles on Raw style.. Yes. The Deej finally goes all out and rants on it all. Be forewarned.

When we eventually force ourselves into Otaku Time, I express my love for the Playstation 3, and tell Ness my all-time favorite anime series, and why I’m re-watching them.

As an aside, once I’m done moving and I have internet again, and as long as Mayopan allows it, there will be a second season of The Wrestling Podcast for The Wrestling Nerd, but of course…I actually have to move first. See you guys from my new home!

S01E12: 1-04-2010: A Date Which Will Live in Wrasslin' Infamy

We hope you enjoyed your holiday break, and you break from the Undymanic Duo.

We’re back. Episode 12, Ness and Djm delve deeply into the oncoming rebirth of the Great Wrestling Wars.

January 4th. Raw is Bret, Impact-A-Mania, and Wrestle Kingdom at The Big Egg in Nihon. The Super No Vacancy Crew covers it all.

Super No Vacancy, S01E11: Is Ness Taking The Ball?

I promise, this will be the only time we make the “oh, thank heaven” reference for this episode. Let’s get it out of the way now.

Oh, thank heaven! It’s Episode 11!

The Week In Wrestling had Ness and Djm less than excited, and even less than blah. Not only that, the whole IRL dayjob has really cut into the free time for Ol’ Deej. As blah as it may be, we do the best we can to discuss it all, even Raw.

“Why am I doing this whole job and independence thing again? Why don’t I move back in with my parents, seriously?”

For Smarky Time, Djm decides that he talks way too much about himself, and gives the floor to Ness, and we get a bit more insight into the co-host of Super No Vacancy that doesn’t drive people crazy with his “not getting the business”. And YES…we do disagree on some things! However, we both agree that Hamada is top of the pops.

For Otaku Time, it’s more digging, as the Undynamic Duo share their favorite nerdy pleasures, and Djm tells everyone that he loves being an otaku. Meanwhile, Ness tells us that he plays games to play games, not watch overly long cut scenes.

FYI, if you’re reading this, and feel like sending us any flames and hatemail, Mayopan, WrestlingAcademy.net’s Fearless Leader has made an e-mail address for us. Send us a note at snv@wrestlingacademy.net.

Super No Vacancy, S01E10: As Sure as X is X

As sure as X is X, this is Super No Vacancy Episode X.

We’d like to thank of the remaining 3 of you for staying post-Wiggly. The whole Super No Vacancy crew appreciates it.

Flying Apples, Mediocrity, and the occasional cough are abound on this week’s episode.

We discuss the incredibly tragic passing of Edward Fatu, AKA Umaga, and hope that someone, anyone will open their eyes to it.

For Otaku Time, Ness talks a few comics that are out of the mainstream, and The Deej talks about Superman/Batman Public Enemies…and is not ashamed to admit that he almost cried.

“Yes, I am that much of a DC nerd.”
